Carl Falsgraf’s teaching and research efforts focus on second language acquisition, language assessment, and professional development. His recent publications include an edited volume on the use of technology in the foreign language classroom (2007) and an article on "The Ecology of Assessment" (2009) showing how various assessment methodologies can be combined to both audit and improve learning. . Professor Falsgraf is currently the director for the Center for Applied Second Languages. He is formerly president of the Pacific Northwest Council For Languages and member of the Executive Council for the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
