Robert Felsing heads the UO Libraries' e-Asia Digital Library project, a nationally recognized digital collection of important scholarly resources. As East Asian Bibliographer, he selects materials for inclusion in Knight Library's East Asian Collection and serves as a liaison to the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures and the Asian Studies Program. His areas of expertise include Asian studies, languages, and computing networks, and information structures and the networked delivery of East Asian information. Professor Felsing chaired a panel on Uses of the Internet at the Asian Studies on the Pacific Coast Conference in June 2003. He returned the following June to present his paper “e-Asia: a New Digital Library.” He wrote a review of Massacre in Shensi for the Journal of Asian Studies (1998). In 2002, he was awarded the Corrigan-Solari Fellowship, which he used to improve the e-Asia project through software upgrade and experimentation and for supplemental conference funding.
