Norm Sundberg has received two Fulbright awards for teaching and research in India. His areas of speciality in psychology are personality assessment and clinical, community, and cross-cultural psychology. Some of his publications are the following: "Nepalese children's cognitive development as revealed by drawings of man, woman and self," "Family cohesiveness and autonomy of adolescents in India and the United States," "Awareness of action possibilities of Indian, Dutch and American adolescents," "Values of Indian and American Adolescents," "Cross-cultural and cross-ethnic assessment: Overview and issues," "Adolescents' expectations of future events: A cross-cultural study of Australians, Americans and Indians," "Personality in a religious commune: CPI's in Rajneeshpuram," "Personality and spirituality: Comparative TAT's of high achieving Rajneeshees," and "International identity: Definitions, development, and some implications for global conflict and peace." Dr. Sundberg has lectured and visited on numerous occasions in Europe and Asia and has taught and done additional research at universities in Hong Kong and Australia. His invited autobiography appears in the 2004 Journal of Personality Assessment and in the 2006 book by Strack & Pioneers of personality science. Before retirement, he served as head of the clinical program and dean of the School of Community Service and Public Affairs.
