Dr. Hu Tao is Chief Economist for the Policy Research Center for Environment and Economy, State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA), People's Republic of China. He served as SEPA's Chief Expert of Trade and Environment at the Doha Development Round of WTO Negotiations, and is also a member of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development.
With educational experience in nuclear physics, environmental economics, and agricultural economics, Dr. Tao has over 15 years of experience in issues related to international environmental policy, international trade, and globalization and climate change. He has worked on dozens of projects with organizations such as Asian Development Bank, World Bank, United Nations Development Program, Global Environment Facility, International Institute for Sustainable Development, and Ministry of Environment of Norway.
